RToddS Engineering LLC was started in January of 2012. R. Todd Swinderman, PE is the owner and principal engineer. The company’s main focus is practical problem-solving solutions to the common problems of conveying bulk solids on conveyors, globally. Our customers include all types of mining firms, engineering companies, and the basic industries that process bulk materials.
In addition to conveying solutions for heavy industry, RtoddS Engineering, LLC develops prototypes from the ideas of individual inventors for consumer and industrial applications and assists them with protecting and marketing their ideas.
R. Todd Swinderman, PE is a mechanical engineer licensed in Florida and Illinois. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a BSME in 1971. He grew up in central Illinois, the son of Veterinarian. Over the course of his career, he has worked as a carpenter, maintenance foreman, mechanical engineer and executive. In his career with Martin Engineering, he progressed from product engineer to President and CEO. Over the last 45 years, he traveled all over the world solving bulk material handling problems, acquiring technology and establishing a network of international subsidiaries. He holds over 60 patents, wrote and delivered over 100 technical papers, authored several technical books and was and still is active in industry associations developing standards for the bulk material handling industry. After retiring from Martin Engineering in 2012 he moved to Florida and started RToddS Engineering, LLC.
